Notice of Temporary Water Service Interruption
Water service along New Settlers Way will be temporarily interrupted on November 12 to allow for the connection of the Double Knob Water Tank to the existing water system. Homes that will be affected include Natures Walk, Double Knob, and the residences along New Settlers Way above Firesong Lane. The work is expected to require approximately one-half day to complete.
As with any system modification, some air intrusion into the water lines is expected. The maintenance team will bleed the system from the booster pump onward; however, residents may experience intermittent sputtering at faucets and toilets as air is expelled from household plumbing. A boil water advisory will not be necessary.
In preparation for this work, excavation will occur along the roadside on November 11. This advance activity will help reduce the duration of the service interruption.
