Hello, Chinquapin owners! It’s fall in the mountains, and the ferns and trees are changing their colors. Here are the October updates; visit the website to see them.

· The directory is updated. If you’re not listed in it and want to be, send an email to info@chinquapinowners.com. Let us know if you sell your property so we can keep the directory current. Thank you!

· An interpretive trail report is on the Maps & Trails page. Thank you, Dave Barnett!

· Whitelist Directions--Make sure website notifications/emails arrive in your Inbox; use the Whitelist instructions on the Home page.

· The August 19, 2022 Advisory Board report, by Rich Milanese, is posted in the Surveys & Reports section. As Mark Adkins announced at the September 2022 HOA meeting, members of the Advisory Board are, in alphabetical order, Allen Dobson, Rich Milanese, and Tony Nicolli. Mark heads up that group.

· The Chinquapin Architectural Guidelines are available under Owner Resources/HOA Documents.

· New information, called Useful Contact Info, is under Owner Resources to help you contact Waterfront Group employees with questions you may have. At this time, as a developer-led HOA, these employees share information like gate codes, social events they plan, news about the community, and issues there may be with water, gates, roads, etc. Ashley McCarthy and Mark Adkins handle architectural, lot, and building questions or situations. Contact info for Duke Energy and Balsam West, the internet provider, is also on that list.

· Committees List—This was emailed February 2022 to owners by former employee Erika Gonzales. It is on this site under Surveys & Reports. The list includes committees, members on these committees, and the purpose of establishing these committees. Membership may have changed due to owners moving or the committee chair making changes to the membership. If you are no longer on a committee, or if there’s a report from a committee’s meeting to share, please email info@chinquapinowners.com. If you want to join a committee, contact Ashley McCarthy. AMcCarthy@chinquapinnc.com

· Services List—Help us! We want to provide a page on the website of various services in the area that owners have used and recommend. This ranges from cleaners, builders, odd jobs, septic services, plumbers, electricians, generators, medical care, yardwork/landscaping, extermination services, to pharmacies, catering, and so on.

Here’s the info to submit: Business Name, Business Owner(s) Name(s), Business Contact Info, Type of Business, Name & Contact Info of the person submitting this business, so owners can chat with you about details. Lastly, answer this question--Have you used this business & how many STARS do you give it? All the information requested should be submitted in order to be considered for listing on this new page.
