This Catching Up is delayed while new articles about winterizing your home, radon, and water cut-off procedures were written. The weekend of December 22 was certainly challenging for folks in residence at Chinquapin with the sustained cold temperatures and the extended power and water outages. These articles’ information will help prevent frozen and burst pipe problems and provide tips on dealing with the outages situations. NOTE: If you cut off water to your house, turn off the ice maker, too.

--The Useful Contact Info that was under Owner Resources is now on the same page as the Directory, under Owner Resources. The Useful Contact Info lists email addresses/phone numbers for Duke Energy, Balsam West, Waterfront Group employees Ashley McCarthy & Lucas Murdoch, and for developer Mark Adkins. Duke Energy has an alert system that customers can sign up for to receive messages about power outages or other situations.
